One day left on my Nibblefest NFAC auction. Auction ends tomorrow night (May 27th). This was a fun entry to do. The theme this month for Nibblefest is the “Secret Life of Toys”.. After playing around with my set up my husband balanced the mug and put in the rubber duck! heh :) .. I knew I had my setup.. that was IT.. ok.. i added in a spoon! heh!! This was a JOY to paint.. it also fit into the May EBSQ “Scintillating” show.. Ok.. I had to look up what that meant! It means to “sparkle or shine”.. well.. The water in this painting sparkles.. the spoon sparkles.. I really am pleased with this painting! I love it..one of my favorites! :)

Here’s the painting: Its a bigger painting too!! Its 11×14x1.5 Acrylic on canvas with painting wrapping around the sides.
“Duck out of Water: Polish pottery LVII”.. Yes. the 57th in my Polish pottery still life series! :)

I had to set aside number 56 in the series to quickly do 57 for Nibblefest.. I am almost finished with 56.. I will enter it also into the Scintillating show.. it has a glass of ice water in it and the CUTEST Polish pottery ceramika Artystyczna plate. A cute horse plate.. and a flower.. Almost done and will start that auction this week! So be on the look out for it! :)

Well.. better get back to my painting.. I also look forward to doing the show this month “Childrens Art interpretted by Adults” on EBSQ.. that was a show that I suggested.. so I MUST enter. My boys are handing me drawings.. so I got to get moving on that piece. I love the ideas that kids have.. I have a feeling it will have something to do with lizards or something boyish. Nothing pink.. that is for sure! Heh :) Lots of paintings to do.. many are still just sitting in my head.. ready to be painted. :)

Why is it so hard to keep up with my blog? I can jabber on all day about nothing, but when I think about writing I freeze up? I guess I should just blog even if its talking about nothing.. Seinfeld was a show about nothing so maybe I can blog about nothing too.. and show and talk about my paintings! :)

Well.. I bought a new fancy printer and am making my own prints! Yay!! I have a few listed on Etsy http://88heather.etsy.com .. I’ve been meaning to list one or two on EBay and start at a penny for some ACEO signed prints and just see what happens.

Here’s a few paintings I have done since last blogging.. eeeeek. too long ago!

This is number 50 in my Polish Pottery Still Life Series.. It hangs in my house.. I could NOT let it go! I really have got to learn to let my paintings go sometimes.. Its so easy to get attached to them… This one looks GORGEOUS on my wall though! heh :) .. I am selling prints of this.. I’m really proud of this one! :)

Still painting, painting and more painting! Though haven’t had much painting time the past few days I have had a few hours to work on a house portrait that I have been juggling in between paintings for Perfectly Polish. I will be finished with the house portrait today and getting it to my friend and previous neighbor tomorrow. It will be a gift to her for everything she did for us as we left Germany. I hope she likes it!

We had a warm snap for a bit and it was kind of nice not having to manage a fire, but I love the smell of a fire burning. I hate that I have to vacuum constantly from all the wood pieces and everything that tracks in the house. I think I need a solid day to clean the house top to bottom.. Will need to take a break next week between painting and put one whole day and get my house sparkly! ;) We have company coming soon, so I need some really productive painting days in these next 2 weeks!

Anyway, I have many paintings to do. My next painting I’ll start will be a Christmas painting for Perfectly Polish, and I have more Polish Pottery stills to do, a commission, I have 2 pet portraits to do. Heck.. what am I doing here?? I need to be painting! :0) My goal is to have constant EBay auctions running and add to my Etsy store more paintings. I think now that we have done so much with our new house things should calm down here (i hope) that I will get more painting time in. Hope to have a new Ebay auction up in the next week and will be doing Nibblefest this month also. I need more hours in the day to do it all! LOL! ;)

The family is doing great just busy busy! Gumbo is constantly getting in trouble, he’s pure puppy! He’s 7 mos old now. I took this photo of him and I thought he looked so regal in it! :)

Here’s some paintings I have done since I last posted. These were done exclusively for Perfectly Polish. The chicken paintings are all mini paintings or mini for me at least! They are all 5×5’s.

I just put up for auction the 21st in my Polish Pottery Still Life Series. I created this painting in 2007 for the EBSQ Fall foliage show. The branches in the vase are called the European Spindle that I cut off from a tree in our yard in Germany. The vase is the Fall Moon pattern by Zacklady, or Unikat Art 117 pattern. This painting is perfect for your polish pottery collection or even if you have no Polish pottery and want a beautiful painting. This painting will glow on your walls… but it is time for it to find a new home. :)

Why does unpacking take so long? Well.. we are pretty much unpacked after moving from Germany in June but I still have a few boxes in the basement to go through. We’ve done a lot of house projects adding fencing, painting rooms, hanging curtains.. etc. It never ever ends!! LOL!

On the painting front. I have added many more to my Polish pottery still life series. I have partnered with www.PerfectlyPolishOnline.com to create some exclusive paintings for this CA Polish pottery shop. Check out her link, she has some GORGEOUS Polish pottery there!
